Frequently Asked Questions
How long does deletion take?
We process all deletion requests within 48 hours as required by India's DPDP Act 2023. You'll receive confirmation via email once complete.
Can I recover my data after deletion?
No. Data deletion is permanent and irreversible. Make sure to export your data (CSV) before deleting if you want to keep records.
What if I exported my data as CSV?
CSV exports are stored on your device or cloud storage of your choice. These files are not affected by account deletion - you remain responsible for managing or deleting them.
Will my Google account be deleted?
No. Only your MARK app account will be deleted. Your Google account (used for Sign-In) remains unaffected.
What about Google Drive backup?
If you enabled Google Drive backup, we will delete the MARK backup folder from your Drive. You can also manually delete it yourself from Google Drive.
Can I delete specific data instead of everything?
Currently, we only support complete account deletion. If you want to delete specific transactions, use the app's delete function for individual items.
What if I change my mind after submitting?
Contact us immediately at dattatechom@gmail.com with "CANCEL DELETION REQUEST" in the subject line. We can cancel if the deletion hasn't been processed yet.
Do I need to uninstall the app?
No, but we recommend uninstalling the app after receiving deletion confirmation to ensure no local data remains on your device.
